Countries with the latest trends in fashion
French and Italian fashion houses have dictated fashion trends for years. However, in its streets Barcelona, Melbourne, Copenhagen or Sao Paulo become its rivals in the latest trends on what it takes. Next, we present the countries that have been stomping on this catwalk of glamor and style.
Spain.
Today, the classic Paris, Rome and Milan as world capitals of fashion leave room for Madrid and Barcelona that lately dictate fashion trends in Europe and around the world. At a more populist level, Spanish brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti, Mango or El Corte Ingles flood the European, American and Asian markets. All this, not to mention designers such as Pedro del Hierro, Roberto & Lucchino, Pertegaz or Agatha Ruiz de la Prada in regards to haute couture. And if we complete the look with shoes it would be enough to remember the rich tradition of leather crafts, which makes Spain the second largest producer of shoes in the European Union, after Italy.
Australia.
The relaxed attitude caused by living in a place of sun and beach is not inconvenient for Australians to be well dressed. The country's industry has grown significantly and its designers are world renowned and internationally acclaimed. With a casual and individualistic approach, Australian fashion can be clearly distinguished from European style, because it is influenced by the culture of surfing, outdoor activities or graffiti that form a fusion of styles and colors very present in fashion.
Denmark.
Despite its small size, Denmark is the ninth largest exporter of clothing among the OECD States, with Danish fashion being one of the main pillars of the country's export industry. And it is that the Danes have a great sense of fashion, a fact that can be easily seen in the streets of cities like Copenhagen, Aarhus and Aalborg, where, everyone dresses in style. However, the Danes do not seem to care so much about the latest trends, they prefer to follow their own fashion rules: simple cut, organic colors, perfect fit and top quality materials accompanied by original patterns and details.
Brazil.
Brazil is the fifth producer of clothing in the world, so it is not surprising that its style of tight clothing, full of colors and cultural blends is being imposed beyond its borders. The Sao Paulo Fashion Week, becomes one of the emblematic activities of the world of Brazilian fashion, admired and envied worldwide. Their miscegenation between cultures from Africa to Europe and Asia, make the country's fashion something extraordinary and internationally recognized.
Japan.
Fashion in Japan is not just the extravagant and crazy aspect of teenagers who stroll the streets of Harajuku, Tokyo's commercial fashion district. Japan is a place where fashion meets art, so design and art merge: from ink on silk and paper to subtle calligraphy to the most recent manga and the most current drawing. With such important names as Yohji Yamamoto, Kenzo, Issey Miyake and Rei Kawakubo, today Japan is one of the most interesting fashion markets in the world. The Japanese way of dressing is perfected to the last detail, unique and rich. Fashion in Japan reflects the latest trends in the biggest houses in the fashion world, but it can also perfectly combine modern ideas with a classic Japanese look.
