Others have told me that they want to make a detoxifying diet, such as the maple syrup or onion diet. Some take diuretics. Most have started going to the gym to sweat for hours on the treadmill or the exercise bike.

I can't think of worse ways to treat your body that don't involve drinking bleach or shaking your head with a shovel.


Changing your body radically in a month is a bad idea. If you lose ten kilos in that time you can be sure that what you lose is water, muscle mass and a little fat. When you start eating chips and drinking cocacola in the beach bar, the kilos will return in a matter of days, but this time they will only be fat. You will be a thin-fat.

I propose something better. You can lose a size in a month. I do not speak of kilos, but of a minimum size of pants. Forget the weight, if you lose a waist or hip size it means that your body has lost fat, and that you have preserved the muscle. You will not have changed radically, but you will find yourself much better, you will have more energy and the change will be much more lasting. You will also be in a better position to face a long-term change like Operation Transformer when summer ends.

The transformer diet consists of learning to eat for the rest of your life. In these four weeks you will apply the same principles, with one day per week of frenzy, weights and desmelene.

If you don't exercise, no diet works. You will use a combination of constant exercise with exercises in the gym and at home. The key is not to spend many hours, but to be smart with the exercise you do. You will do strategic cardio, resistance exercises and climb many stairs.

This is the most important, especially in such a short time. You will have a planned party day a week in which you will try to beat your own exercise record, and then you will give yourself a meal as a reward. Also, you have to measure your waist and take pictures.
