OUR TIPS: FIND THE PERFECT BRA FOR A STRONG CHEST!
Not all bras support well, far from it. The larger the cup size, the more difficult it is to find the best possible bra. But there are tips. Let's go over all the things to think about when buying a busty bra.
"A bra must be comfortable, regardless of the size of the chest."
A large chest is a burden! A very large chest can weigh up to 4 kg, which is why you need a good quality and stable bra, which can lift and hold the chest, to relieve the back and neck. This places demands on your bra, but there are several deciding factors for the support that a bra can give you. It is not uncommon for women with large breasts to look at the straps first, whether they are wide or not. Then they check if the model exists in their cup size and, in this case, they buy the bra. But, in fact, it is not the suspenders that you should look at first when choosing a new bra. They do play a role, but not as important as many women think.
"A strong chest needs a firm bra"
BACK BAND IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUPPORT
Your back provides most of the support that the bra provides to your chest. It is precisely for this reason that it is recommended to bet on a model that has a wide and stable back as well as wide sides. Back stapling must have at least three staples.
"A broad, firm back supports the entire chest."
The bra should be tightly wrapped around the body to provide the best support, but never tighten to the point of being uncomfortable, jamming or leaving marks. The wider the back, the more space there is to distribute the load and the less the bra will tighten. If you prefer lace bras, make sure the lace is not too thin or too fragile. If the lace is very fine, it is preferable that it be lined to provide more stability.
THERE IS BONNET AND BONNET
The best beanie for a strong chest is the whole beanie, because it fits all over the breast and you have less of a feeling that the breast comes out when you lean forward. This is why we recommend that you choose a whole cap to make you feel safe and comfortable all day. But matter is even more important. A firm fabric material prevents the weight of the chest from stretching the tissue after a period of use. A term fabric does not have to be completely firm, but neither is it stretchable in both directions. Smell and pull a little on the fabric to get an idea. Not at all elastic fabrics are not always very comfortable. On a hat assembled from several pieces, the elasticity is sometimes in different directions in the different pieces of the hat, the low hat can, for example, stretch vertically and the side can stretch horizontally (or at an angle). Varying the directions of elasticity in this way, compared to elasticity in one direction, gives stability and leaves room for flexibility in sizes. If the entire fabric of the hat is not only stretchable down, but also horizontally, the weight of the chest is better distributed. This varies between the different cup sizes and models.
”Look at the fabric of the hat when you choose your bra
There are cups with a firm lower part, while the upper part is made of elastic lace. The elastic part will adapt to the chest, which is preferable if you have, for example, an asymmetrical chest, or if you are between two cup sizes.
Another tip is to choose a padded hat. There are both fully padded cups and cups with only the bottom padded. Unlike many people believe, padded cups are not used to increase breast volume, but rather to create a firmer shape and more stable support. If you want to increase the volume of your chest, choose a push-up bra with cushions at the bottom of the cup or a maximizer, which can have a padding of around 1 to 2 centimeters thick, and sometimes even more. .
"The reinforcement of a hat is often only a few millimeters thick and therefore does not increase the volume."
The most common material in a classic padded hat is a thin layer of foam that is not even 3mm thick. This is the type that is used, especially by Miss Mary. This is enough to support and relieve, but it does not increase the volume. It feels like light and pleasant, and it's the same type that is used in wide, padded comfort straps.
If you prefer an unpadded beanie in elastic fabric, choose a lined model instead. This can be an adequate solution if, for example, you want a lace bra. Exactly as for the padding, there are models in which the cap is lined, in whole or the bottom cap only.
CHOOSE A CAP WITH SIDE SUPPORT OR REINFORCEMENT
Some cups have separate support in the bottom cup which helps to lift the chest, it is a padded panel or band along the bottom cup which prevents the cup from folding down. Between lifting and supporting, there is a difference. The support keeps the bra against the body and "moves" less when you move. It raises the chest and gives an elegant silhouette, while preventing the chest from touching the stomach unpleasantly, keeping you warm.
"Cups with extra support help lift a strong chest."
If you have a large chest, your breasts are spread apart and you want to bring them together to lift them towards the middle, the bra with lateral support is a good solution. Lateral support is a construction located on the outer sides of the cups to strengthen the support and prevent the chest from "falling" to the sides and underarms. This to facilitate the usual daily activities and arm movements, but also a slimming effect when the bust is narrower. There are padded and non-padded side supports. The padded side support does not increase the volume, but it is more effective than the non-padded side support.
”The lateral support makes your chest dive”
The sketch on the right illustrates the effect of lateral support on the chest. If you have a large chest or widely spaced breasts, the lateral support helps to center the chest, so that it does not go to the sides and does not hamper the movements of the arms.
REINFORCEMENT RELEASES AND ALLOCATES WEIGHT
We also recommend the underwire bra because the underwire provides very good support and helps to lift the chest. The frame disperses the weight and distributes it to the edges of the bra. The more the frame goes up on the sides and between the breasts, the larger the distribution area of the support. The underwire also separates the breasts, as it helps hold the bra against the rib cage. If you have the right size, the underwire bra should be as snug as possible.
"The frame disperses and distributes the weight of the chest."
DON'T FORGET THE STRAPS
Even if it is especially the band which surrounds the back which must hold the bra in place, the suspenders also are important. Even if the main function of the suspenders is, in fact, to hold the cup against your body. Imagine a pair of lace-up shoes. The laces make the shoes look better, but if the shoes are the wrong size, it doesn't matter. The straps contribute about 20% to the effect of the bra. If you have a large chest, preferably choose wide straps, to relieve your shoulders. Many of our bras have padded shoulder straps that increase comfort and relieve shoulders. Most of our comfort straps are not fully firm, but a small part of the strap is elastic in the back, to facilitate movement.
"The straps respond for up to 20% of the effect of the bra."
Left: comfort, wide and padded shoulder straps that provide relief. Here, the Amsterdam underwired bra.
Right: the Confident underwired bra has reachable straps at the back to help distribute the load.
Some models of bras also have straps that can be unhooked and crossed at the back. There are also suspenders with a hook or loop that allows them to be attached at the back. See the illustration above. The possibility of varying the straps in this way relieves your shoulders, because you distribute the load.
Obviously, it is not necessary to find a bra with all these properties for it to give you support, but the more there are, the better. Nor is it only strong, heavy chests that need to be supported more strongly. It's not the size or the volume. Take care of your chest, whatever its shape.
