Royal commentator Sarah-Louise Robertson shared on GB News that Prince Harry personally reached out to his brother after learning about Kate's diagnosis. She mentioned text exchanges between them, suggesting a potential thawing and a chance for reconciliation between the two families. Robertson expressed the hope that Harry could offer an apology, emphasizing that the current situation puts things into perspective, making past conflicts seem insignificant.
However, sources cited by The Times claimed that Harry and Meghan were not informed beforehand about Kate's cancer diagnosis. A spokesperson from Kensington Palace declined to comment on private conversations, but multiple sources indicated that no such conversations took place.
It is believed that Harry learned about Kate's diagnosis through television, simultaneously with the public. In early February, the Duke of Sussex flew to London to see his father, King Charles, shortly after Kate began her treatment. They spent approximately 45 minutes together at Clarence House before Harry returned to the US, while the King traveled to Sandringham. During his visit, Harry did not have an opportunity to meet his brother.
Earlier this month, both William and Harry attended an awards ceremony in London commemorating their late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. William attended the event in person at the Science Museum, while Harry appeared via video link after his brother had left.
