According to a former aide of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the couple
allegedly treated her poorly during their time in the UK. The Duke and Duchess
of Sussex, who resided in Frogmore Cottage following their wedding in 2018, are
being accused of bullying royal staff, which reportedly led to resignations.
Royal author Valentine Low has acknowledged claims that Samantha Cohen, a staff
member, was mistreated by the couple. Low also mentioned that Cohen likened her
experience with the Sussexes to dealing with "teenagers."
In an interview with the Herald Sun, Cohen disclosed, "I was initially hired for a six-month period but ended up staying for 18 months because we couldn't find a replacement for me. Even when we did find someone, they accompanied Harry and Meghan on a tour of Africa to familiarize them with their duties, but they ended up leaving as well, while still in Africa."
Cohen also reflected on Queen Elizabeth's leadership style, noting that despite her lack of ego, the Queen found amusement in things going awry during events. For instance, if a cake failed to cut or a plaque was improperly unveiled, it added excitement to her otherwise meticulously planned affairs.
