Meghan Markle appears to harbor some reservations about her husband Prince
Harry's potential reunion with the Royal Family. The Duchess of Sussex, feeling
she has been mistreated by her UK-based in-laws, is eager for the family to
extend an olive branch to her.
According to royal author Tom Quinn, while Harry desires reconciliation, he stands fully behind his wife. However, Meghan insists on receiving what she perceives as adequate kindness from the Royal Family and a sincere apology for past grievances before any meaningful reconciliation can occur.
Quinn notes a shift in dynamics since Kate's illness, suggesting that Harry and Meghan recognize the need to extend an olive branch. Nevertheless, Meghan's lingering sense of grievance remains a barrier to significant progress.
He further explains that illness can sometimes bring estranged family members together, and there were hopes at Kensington Palace that Kate's illness might facilitate such reconciliation efforts.
