It's been indicated by Harry's lawyers that he has nothing to fear about his residency in the US as long as Biden remains in office, despite the ongoing court case regarding his visa. After relocating to the US with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020, following their decision to step down as senior working royals, Harry has been facing scrutiny over his US residency.
Questions have been raised by The Heritage Foundation regarding the Department of Homeland Security's decision to grant Prince Harry a US visa, especially after he admitted to taking illegal drugs in his memoir, "Spare."
However, lawyers from the Biden administration have supported a statement from a US ambassador, indicating that the President has no intention to deport Harry, as reported by Newsweek.
When asked by Sky News presenter Kay Burley if deportation was a realistic possibility for Prince Harry, America's ambassador to the UK, Jane Hartley, replied, "Well, it's not going to happen in the Biden administration."
The Heritage Foundation argued that these remarks were "extraordinary" and amounted to confirmation that "regardless of future circumstances, they will decline to deport Meghan Markle's husband Harry, even in the most extreme of cases."
In response to the criticism, the Department for Homeland Security defended Hartley, stating that her remark "suggests no government impropriety."
On the other hand, former US President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility that he could deport Prince Harry if re-elected.
