Prince William Faces Tough Choice: Leaving 'Vulnerable' Kate Middleton Behind

Prince William has reemerged into the public eye following the revelation of his wife Kate Middleton's battle with an undisclosed form of cancer last month. This marked his first public appearance since then. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond shed light on the Prince of Wales' return to royal duties, highlighting that it was carefully timed after a three-week Easter break spent with the princess and their children at their Norfolk home.

In an interview with OK! magazine, she mentioned, "William has opted to return to work the day after the children go back to school.“That’s sensible…settle the kids in and then concentrate on official duties.” She further elaborated that Prince William's return to engagements was cautious, focusing on issues close to home and his heart, such as community and the environment.

Commenting on Kate Middleton's state of mind, Bond expressed empathy, noting that she must have cherished the family time during the break, especially with her parents staying at Anmer Hall.I'm confident that Carole and Mike will be there just as they always have been, ready to support Catherine as she readjusts to life with her husband returning to work," she added.

Bond concluded by suggesting that Prince William would approach his workload gradually, considering his wife and children's readiness for him to increase his royal duties.
