Nigerian Locals Boo Meghan Markle for Bringing Netflix Crew After Genealogy Report Reveals 0% Nigerian Heritage

Nigerian locals booed Meghan for bringing a Netflix crew after a genealogy report showed she has 0% Nigerian heritage. Meghan Markle sparked fury following news of her latest royal trip abroad. The Sussexes are set to fly to Nigeria after Meghan recently discovered she has 43% Nigerian heritage. The couple will be jetting off after Harry's solo trip to the UK, where he'll commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Discussing the Nigeria visit, commentator Tessa Dunlop and former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie became embroiled in a heated clash. MacKenzie argued that Meghan's decision to snub the UK for Nigeria is like giving a "V" sign to the British people. He criticized Meghan for not coming to the UK to rally around the royal family during difficult times, instead choosing to visit Nigeria. Dunlop agreed with MacKenzie's sentiments, noting Meghan's apparent issues with Britain.

MacKenzie compared Meghan's trip to recent royal family engagements and criticized her for being "all about herself." The Sussexes' African trip was labeled as a one-up on the royal family by Charlotte Griffiths of the Mail on Sunday. She told GB News, "Of course, they never try anything other than to get one-up on the royal family. But I think what they're really doing is, on paper, they're trying to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games. Let's face it, the real reason is that they need content for Netflix. They want to appear as quasi-Royals, they want to carry on conducting quasi-tours as if they're still members of the royal family."

An insider revealed that with Nigeria hoping to host a future Invictus Games and Meghan's ancestry links to the country, it makes sense for the couple to make the trip. However, the visit isn't a sign that the couple wishes to return to working royal life with tours and royal trips. It's a savvy PR move, especially with Meghan not coming to Britain. The visit also aims to exploit Meghan's ancestry links to Nigeria and capture content for a new Netflix film.

It's interesting to note that in September 2017, there was discussion questioning Meghan's humanitarian efforts, and changes made to her Wikipedia page were not approved. Allegedly, Meghan had a role in the hat with the photographer in Rwanda. It seems people in Nigeria don't really want to interact with her, especially children. They see her as using Nigeria, much like her visit to Uvaldi and a hospital in Los Angeles with cancer-stricken children, all with cameras present.

While Meghan's genealogy shows mainly Irish, Nigerian, English, and American backgrounds, it's essential to understand that these percentages provide a location where her family came from, not necessarily who she is. Her heritage is a mix of various backgrounds, but it doesn't mean she's that percentage Nigerian.
