Leggings trends and advice to wear them well
Practical and comfortable, leggings are a staple of the wardrobe. That said, it's good to know that the way you wear them changes from season to season.
Among the leggings trends of spring 2015, we still find the leather version, printed leggings as well as all the variations of athletic inspiration.
Rule number 1
Although leggings trends follow one another, one thing will always remain the same: classic leggings are not pants and should never be considered as such. They should ALWAYS be worn with a top that hides the buttocks and fork.
Let’s first clarify what I mean by classic leggings
The classic model is made of a fine, ultra-tight fabric and is similar to a sticky bottom without feet. Above all, it leaves no mystery hovering over the secrets of your anatomy ... If you know what I mean! Leggings of this kind should be considered as sticky stockings, for example by slipping them under a tunic or a dress.
Jersey leggings
It has happened (too often) to see downright inappropriate looks, where women of all ages practically wore "buttocks" in leggings with a short top. Besides, did you know that some of these leggings had a transparency effect from certain angles and lighting?
3 rules to follow to avoid missteps
1. Choose the right fabric
We prioritize leggings made of opaque fabric, quite thick and of good quality. They will thus have a slightly sheathing side which will instantly benefit your figure.
2. Not too tight ... nor too transparent
One should NEVER guess the intimate shapes or see the underwear through the leggings.
3. It can be worn with a shorter top if ...
Leggings can be coordinated with shorter tops if (and only if!):
- it is made of a fabric that stands (see rule # 1);
- it has a zipper in front and pockets (or slits) behind.
The "tregging", hybrid between leggings and trouser ("pants" in English), has back pockets, but a simple seam at the front. So, it is advisable to wear a slightly longer top.
