"I'm sure these old friends will know exactly how to keep Kate's spirits up after such a major surgery," Bond told the outlet. "They probably pampered her with lavish gifts of luxury spa products and indulgent treats to tempt her taste buds," she continued. "They know what she might like to watch or read on TV and might be sending recommendations and encouraging her to relax and take the time she needs."
Kate will focus on recovering from her operation, and Bond believes the princess will spend time with close friends during this period. "Sometimes your oldest friends, the ones who stick with you through thick and thin, are just the ticket," Bond continued. Kate has maintained close friendships with many of her schoolmates, who obviously knew her way around royalty before they arrived, so they will know how to help. Kate has also formed strong friendships with many of William's friends, and they will all be offering practical help, particularly with the children, as William prioritizes looking after his wife and family while juggling his work commitments.
Meghan Markle is not in touch with the Princess of Wales as the princess is currently recovering. This would be an extremely inopportune time for Meghan.
