Washing your bra after each use: a good idea?

Keeping the same bra for several days without washing it: what you need to know
Don't you feel the need to wash your lingerie the same evening after you take it off and you plan to postpone it? Do not be guilty, if you have already received comments, this is not contraindicated. You can indeed wear your bra several times before washing it.
Keep in mind, however, that this lingerie piece is in direct contact with the skin and perspiration. Not only does the strip of fabric that passes under your armpits soak up your daily sweat but, in addition, you can also sweat a little from the breasts (yes, even if it is not visible) depending on the weather and your activity when you wear it, especially if you have a generous chest.
By keeping your bra for more than 3 to 4 days, you are taking the risk of carrying many bacteria on your skin, not to mention any odors. No question then of having a single bra as underwear for the week. Invest in several sets to change your bra at least every 3 days of use.
Wear your bra for several days without washing it: yes but ...
The ideal frequency of washing is still everyone's business because whether or not to carry over a lingerie already used without a refreshment in the meantime is above all a matter of personal feeling and some will feel very uncomfortable in a garment that does not smell good the last washing. However, it is really not recommended to wear the same bra two days in a row!
Why ? Simply for maintenance. That of your chest first but also that of the fiber of your lingerie that needs this little break between two days of work to get back in shape and be effective. Notice to those who thought to extend the life of their lingerie by wearing it every day without cleaning it in the meantime, it was a bad idea because it damages your favorite model as much as washing it.
So whatever your decision, alternate bras to give your lingerie time to return to its original shape and do its job properly.
But then what to do very clearly?
The ideal cycle for your comfort and that of your underwear would be to postpone (if you wish) your bra not the next day but the day after and so on. This would bring the ideal average wash frequency to once every two days of use, but not continuously. Either the same bra on Monday and Wednesday that you wash on Wednesday evening for example, another one for Tuesday and Thursday that you wash after, etc. A rhythm that allows you to wear your bra several times without damaging it and without letting bacteria grow.
And what about the sports bra?
Does it really need to be specified? Without great surprise, you will not miss the washing after each use. No question of wearing a bra a second time in which we sweat a lot without washing it before. And that is indisputable!
