However, today's events at the Cheltenham Festival seemed to stir some tension as Queen Camilla's choice of outfit appeared to mirror one previously worn by Meghan Markle, much to the disappointment of Kate Middleton. The relationship between Meghan and Kate has been strained, with past disagreements including moments during Meghan's time as a working royal before she and Prince Harry stepped back in 2020. Despite their differences, Camilla's decision to adopt a style reminiscent of Meghan's seemed to upset Kate, particularly as she arrived for what was previously known as Ladies Day, now termed Style Wednesday.

Camilla accessorized her outfit with a Demellier London handbag named "The Mini Venice," a £370 accessory also owned by Meghan, who was seen with it during a visit to Cardiff in 2018. Described as "cute and practical," the handbag was paired with a green coat and a matching faux fur hat by Queen Camilla. The Cheltenham Festival itself has faced criticism this year for replacing Ladies Day with "Style Wednesday" in a bid to promote gender neutrality. Other members of the royal family present at the event included Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie.

Queen Camilla's appearance at Cheltenham followed her leading the royals at the Commonwealth Day Service two days prior. Meanwhile, King Charles has scaled back his public appearances due to ongoing cancer treatment, leaving the Queen to take on more responsibilities within the family.

Additionally, the Princess of Wales has been out of the public eye since her abdominal surgery in January, with expectations that she will remain so until after Easter. However, recent controversy arose after she allegedly edited a photo with her children, posted on social media for Mother’s Day.
