Kate Middleton expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of
Prince William as she faces a recent cancer diagnosis. Breaking her silence, the
Princess of Wales made a startling announcement regarding her health condition.
In a heartfelt video statement produced by BBC Studios, Kate disclosed that she
is in the early stages of treatment for cancer. Despite initial tests showing no
signs of cancer during abdominal surgery in January, subsequent examinations
revealed its presence. Consequently, her medical team recommended preventive
chemotherapy, which she commenced in late February.
In addition to coping with her diagnosis, Kate emphasized the importance of privacy and space for her family, particularly as they navigate the complexities of explaining the situation to their children - George, Charlotte, and Louis. She expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from well-wishers, acknowledging that William's unwavering presence has been a tremendous source of comfort throughout this challenging time.
"Having William by my side also gives me a lot of certainty and comfort. As is the affection, encouragement, and kindness so many of you have shown. It's really important to both of us," Kate said.
