It appears that Meghan Markle may have a valid reason for considering
skipping the upcoming Sussex trip to the UK. The Duchess of Sussex, expected to
join her husband Prince Harry for the anniversary of the Invictus Games next
month, seems apprehensive about returning to her former stomping grounds.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, speaking to the Sun, suggests that Meghan's reluctance stems from her unpopularity in the UK. Unlike Harry, who also faces scrutiny but from a different angle, Meghan is wary of the potential backlash awaiting her due to her actions over the past four years. Additionally, there's the added complication of Archie and Lilibet, who are innocent in the matter.
Fitzwilliams further explains that security arrangements would be tailored based on individual circumstances, ensuring the safety of the trip from the UK's perspective. However, he speculates that security concerns could be used as a convenient excuse for Meghan to opt out of the trip altogether.
