Meghan Markle's Upcoming Netflix Project Faces Criticism from Royal Expert

Meghan Markle's Latest Project Draws Criticism from Royal Expert. Meghan Markle's upcoming venture with Netflix has raised eyebrows, particularly with royal expert Ingrid Seward expressing skepticism about its authenticity. In a conversation with royal editor Matt Wilkinson on The Sun's latest show, Royal Exclusive, Seward didn't hold back, labeling the project as "a bit desperate." This critique follows the recent announcement by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of two nonfiction projects for the streaming platform.

One of these projects, as reported by Deadline, will delve into Meghan's interests, including "the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship." However, Seward questioned Meghan's credibility in these areas, stating, "I am more skeptical about Meghan because I don't know she knows anything about gardening."

Seward continued her critique on the show, expressing doubt about Meghan's ability to authentically discuss friendship, given her public history of strained relationships. "As for her talking about friendship, that does make me feel a bit skeptical," she remarked. "She is really known for losing friends rather than gaining friends."

This project marks the fourth collaboration between the Sussexes and Netflix, part of their lucrative multi-million dollar deal. Despite the skepticism, entertainment expert Mark Boardman praised Meghan for her involvement in the project, noting that it aligns well with her passion for storytelling and her inclination towards exerting control.
