Too Late to Mend Fences: Meghan Markle Fumes as Friend Publicly Apologizes to Catherine on Live Air

Meghan Markle's friend, Andy Cohen, found himself in hot water after joining the chorus of celebrities speculating about Princess Catherine's recent absence from the public eye. However, his recent apology on live air during the April 1st episode of "Andy Cohen Live" on Sirius XM has left royal fans unconvinced.

Expressing remorse, Cohen stated, "I just want to say that I'm heartbroken by the news about Princess Catherine. I wish I'd kept my mouth shut." He added, "We're all praying for Princess Katherine and King Charles." Nevertheless, despite his attempt to make amends, some people remain skeptical of the sincerity behind his apology.

On the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, one person commented, "It's not sincere when it's done so late. In other words, Mr. Cohen, keep your apology where the sun doesn't shine." Another individual remarked, "A little too late. That's why you should think before you speak."

Critics argue that Cohen could have easily issued an apology through social media earlier and reiterated it once his show returned on air. During a podcast episode that aired just hours before Catherine made her heartbreaking announcement, Cohen discussed a particularly contentious theory about her withdrawal from the public eye. He explained that due to his radio show's hiatus, this was his first opportunity to address the issue on live radio. Cohen emphasized that everyone on the show was praying for Catherine and King Charles, who had revealed his skin cancer diagnosis weeks earlier.

The truth behind Catherine's absence gradually unfolded, as it was revealed that she had begun preventative chemotherapy after undergoing major abdominal surgery and receiving a cancer diagnosis during a follow-up test. However, prior to this revelation, a series of bizarre rumors spread across the internet, further fueled by Cohen's discussion of conspiracy theories on his "Daddy Diar" podcast on March 22nd.

In past episodes, Cohen even entertained the wild speculation that a body double had posed as Princess Catherine during a visit to a farmer's market alongside Prince William, adding more fuel to the already raging fire. Many felt that Cohen should have exercised more restraint and refrained from commenting on Catherine and the rumors surrounding her absence from the public eye.

Meanwhile, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced criticism for seemingly ignoring their "Sussex Squad" and the trolling directed towards Catherine. Some individuals called on the couple to align their actions with their statements against trolling and disinformation by disassociating themselves from Christopher Bowy and the Sussex Squad. Failure to do so, according to critics, would make Harry and Meghan the biggest hypocrites on the internet.
