Designer Julien MacDonald has stirred controversy by snubbing Meghan and expressing admiration for Kate. MacDonald, who once lured Queen Camilla to a fashion show, now desires to dress Princess Diana. He praises Kate, stating, "I'd love to dress her in one of my dresses. I've got a great relationship with Camilla; she's incredible." MacDonald reveals that Queen Camilla occasionally seeks style advice from him, appreciating his comments on her outfits.

However, MacDonald's enthusiasm doesn't extend to Meghan. When asked if he'd dress the Duchess of Sussex, he bluntly responds, "No, I prefer Kate and Camilla." He criticizes Meghan's fashion choices, alleging a lack of knowledge about proper tailoring. He deems her attire a "disgrace," citing issues like improper fit and wrinkles.

According to MacDonald, Meghan's fashion choices often veer between cosplaying wealthy white women and outfits that sexualize her, especially as she ages. He suggests that Meghan's penchant for baring her shoulders serves to draw attention but may not adhere to appropriate attire standards, referencing incidents like the Trooping the Colour ceremony in June 2018.

MacDonald concludes that Meghan should have studied cultural clothing or sought advice to dress appropriately for her role and cultural representations.
