Foregoing her usual crepe dresses and feminine midis, the mom of three was dressed casually for a day at the shops. This outfit, along with previous casual sightings, offers a hint at Kate's off-duty style. For this excursion, she paired skinny jeans with a Ralph Lauren sweater, a Massimo Dutti coat, and bold stone boots. Kate looked chic in her casual attire, her hair down, and a disposable blue mask covering most of her face, blending in seamlessly with other busy parents popping in for a spot of shopping.
Peter Jones, owned by John Lewis, sells everything from children's clothes to homeware, making it a popular one-stop shop for busy working parents like Kate. The Chelsea neighborhood is a popular shopping destination for the Middletons and the royal family, with Kate's sister Pippa and Princess Beatrice both spotted browsing in the area.
While the princess was inside the store, her driver was approached by two women who appeared to take issue with the way he had parked on the curb. Moments later, he pulled off the curb and parked on the road, waiting for his royal passenger. When Kate emerged from the back entrance, she made a beeline for the waiting car. Two women walking down the street appeared to recognize the princess and looked delighted.
In the past, the royal mom has been seen back on her beloved Chelsea shopping turf, browsing for maternity fashion in the Peter Jones John Lewis department store. Onlookers previously spotted the princess pondering a black Brook dress priced at £39. With a flattering empire line cut in a classic color, it would be a versatile addition to any maternity wardrobe. If Kate chose to buy the dress, she would join a long line of glamorous moms, including January Jones, Angelina Jolie, and Jessica Alba, who have enjoyed wearing the gorgeous designs. The butterfly sleeve style could be the latest in a line of "Kate effect" sellouts, following the stampedes to purchase the Love's Trunk at Topshop dress and the MaxMara wrap dress she wore when showcasing her tiny baby bump.
What do you think? Would you rush to buy a dress because you heard that Kate had been wearing it or a celebrity had bought one?
