THE STRANGEST AND WORST FASHION TRENDS OF 2019 SO FAR - INCLUDING CONFUSED SHORTS AND 'CONDOM DRESS'.
2019 offered some amazing fashion looks thanks to the beautiful people of FashionNova, PrettyLittleThing and Topshop.
It's already July and 2019 has already presented us with some exciting new fashion trends.
But between the lights of the catwalk and the gems of the main streets there were some looks a bit stranger.
Many online stores have sold bikinis, dresses and shorts that customers should be VERY brave to add to the basket thanks to their revealing, bizarre and sometimes disconcerting designs.
We've taken a look at some of the most memorable fashion trends of recent months.
Painful" bodysuit that "makes you look like a prostitute."
FashionNova is known for its bold outfits, but the "Here For Fun" leotard was a little too much for some people.
The description of the article, which is available in black and red, says it has a "high side cut" - and no kidding.
Buyers described it as a "front thong" and commented on how uncomfortable it should be to wear.
Many enjoyed seeing it worn by the model, while others went so far as to say that it makes her look like a "prostitute".
The body is composed of 95% polyester and 5% elastane. It costs $24.99 and can be shipped anywhere.
One client wrote, "Ahhhhhh looks painful wtf."
Horrible" crotch cut harness shorts.
The ASOS harness "shorts" (if you can really call them that) caught the attention of customers in February.
The biggest problem with people with the £14 article is that they had absolutely no idea
Featuring large panels cut out around the groin and on the legs, the high-waisted design is described as a "big trend" on the shopping site and claims to give you "the confidence to express your individuality".
People on social media joked that the article would be great for giving the wearer "extra bulges".
Network bikini
The fishnet bikini could be the most audacious piece of the swimsuit trend (audacious statement, we know) and leaves little to the imagination.
It's a bargain for just £10 and is guaranteed to turn your head - but you'll have to be very brave to wear it.
The material makes the whole thing rather transparent and the high waist adds a touch of audacity.
Mesh side jeans
On Topshop it is normally easy to buy jeans, but one of their designs proved a bit too "cool" for some people.
The £60 "Jaded London" jeans in question were cut to the sides with sheer, stitched panels.
Confused? You're not the only one.
The description on the Topshop website reads: "Black wide leg jeans with glitter heart net outside leg. High waist".
They look like something a 70s Cher would wear, which potentially makes them a must-have for masquerade parties.
Cage pants.
They consist of a few very thin strips of eco-leather sewn together in the style of a cage.
While many buyers were disconcerted by these pants, it seems that they were much appreciated as they received the label "Hurry, almost sold out" from the fashion company.
