Amidst the controversy surrounding Kate Middleton's edited photos, Prince
Harry and Meghan Markle found themselves facing intense scrutiny over their
second pregnancy photo. Misan Harriman, the photographer who conducted a
virtual photoshoot of the Sussexes, responded to claims that he had doctored
the images from the shoot. Harriman took to Instagram to share a video clip in which he addressed The
Telegraph and Daily Mail, refuting their false claims. In a resurfaced
podcast interview, Harriman clarified that when asked if Harry and Meghan
were in a meadow, he was describing the couple being lost in their love at
home in their garden, celebrating their new joy. He explained that the
journalist had posed a leading question, hoping to elicit a specific
response.
Expressing his frustration, Harriman called the accusation of doctoring an image "insidious and really dangerous journalism." He emphasized that any mention of meadows and willow trees in the interview came from the interviewer, not himself. Harriman shared an original photo of the couple and demanded an apology from the outlets involved.
The drama surrounding Kate's edited photo drew Harry and Meghan into the spotlight when an insider quoted by Page Six suggested that the couple would have faced severe backlash for making a similar mistake. It was revealed that four top photo agencies had "killed" Kate's Mother's Day photo, which she later admitted to editing as an experiment.
