Prince Harry and Prince William Opt Not to Share Same Room at Memorial Event

Prince Harry and Prince William are both scheduled to participate in the Diana Legacy Award event, dedicated to their late mother, Princess Diana. However, they will not be present in the same room together, highlighting the ongoing distance between them. On Thursday, the event will be held at London's Science Museum. In addition to presenting awards to twenty honorees, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, is scheduled to give an in-person speech to mark the charity's 25th anniversary. In contrast, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will be joining the event via video call. Notably, his video call will occur after Prince William has left the venue.

The strained relationship between William and Harry dates back to the Duke's decision to step down from his royal duties four years ago. The rift between the brothers has deepened, particularly following the announcement of Harry's forthcoming memoir, "Spare."This year's arrangement mirrors the previous year when they recorded separate videos to congratulate the award winners. However, in past years, including 2021, they appeared together at the event.

It is worth noting that Kate Middleton, who has been on a break from her royal duties since January due to her abdominal surgery, will not be in attendance either. The Diana Award, a charity founded to reflect Princess Diana's belief in the power of young people to bring about positive change, continues to honor her legacy.
