According to a source, while Meghan isn't a barrier this time, Harry won't make the journey until he gets a green light from King Charles. His aim is to alleviate any lingering tensions with his relatives before his highly anticipated visit, where his presence at the Invictus Games will surely draw attention.
Although Harry founded the Invictus Games a decade ago, the support from the royal family has waned since he and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties and moved to the US in 2020.
As the Games mark their 10th anniversary with an event in London in May, Harry's return to the UK is looming. His priority, should he make the trip, would be to reconnect with his ailing father and sister-in-law, Princess Kate, in hopes of bridging the divide, according to sources.
However, royal author Tom Quinn suggests that efforts have been made by Prince William and Kate to reconcile, but Meghan's reluctance to let go of grievances remains a stumbling block.
