For those who might not be aware, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, had announced her return to the public sphere with a podcast series in partnership with Lemonada Media. However, recent reports suggest that there won't be any new content from Meghan until 2025.
Richard Kay, writing for Express.co.uk, criticized the couple for making grand announcements but failing to follow through with tangible results. He noted, "All these plans are in the pipeline and then nothing happens." According to Kay, Meghan's primary focus at the moment seems to be on her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Another journalist, Richard Eden of the Daily Mail, also voiced his concerns about the delay in the release of Meghan and Harry's California-based projects. Eden compared their approach unfavorably to that of Netflix, stating, "... they will announce a new film for something when it's gone into production or it's about to be broadcast. It's quite unusual to announce deals and then have nothing to show for it.
He questioned whether Meghan's actions were solely for publicity, saying, "Announcing a deal like this and then not having any content, any podcasts for a year. One can't help but wonder, is she simply doing it for the publicity?
