Surprising Twist: Prince Harry's Inheritance Exceeds Prince William's

Recent reports have shed light on a disparity in inheritance between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William. It appears that Prince Harry received a larger share, which reportedly originated from their great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother's estate following her passing in 2002. This estate, valued at approximately £70 million, comprised valuable assets and property contents left to her daughter, Queen Elizabeth II.

Back in 1994, the Queen Mother directed two-thirds of her fortune into a trust fund intended for her great-grandchildren. According to reports from the Daily Express, Prince Harry emerged as the primary beneficiary of this trust, receiving a larger portion compared to Prince William.

This discrepancy in inheritance allocation likely stems from differences in the princes' future financial prospects. As the first in line to the throne, Prince William is poised to inherit substantial royal assets and resources upon ascending to the throne. Conversely, Prince Harry, positioned further down the line of succession as the younger sibling and fifth in line to the throne, is expected to have a different financial trajectory.

The late Princess Diana, mother to both princes, also left a significant inheritance for her sons upon her tragic passing in 1997. Initially, just under £13 million was allocated to each prince, but this figure decreased to £8.5 million after accounting for death duties. Nonetheless, prudent investments overseen by royal advisors saw this amount grow to over £20 million over the years. Both Princes Harry and William gained access to these funds upon reaching their twenties.

Since stepping back from their royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have pursued financial independence. Their move to the United States, particularly to California, saw them invest in a luxurious £12.8 million mansion, partly financed by an £8.3 million mortgage. Prince Harry's estimated personal net worth is currently around £48 million, while Meghan's wealth is thought to be similar. These figures reflect their collaborative financial efforts and joint ventures.
