Queen Camilla's Protective Role for King Charles Amid Prince Harry's UK Visit

According to royal expert Sarah-Louise Robertson speaking on GB News, Queen Camilla has taken on a protective role in response to King Charles feeling upset over Prince Harry's recent visit to the UK. The Duke of Sussex had flown to the UK for a brief trip to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. While it was actually the monarch who declined a meeting with his "darling boy" Harry, he still experienced a sense of hurt when Harry left the country for a visit to Nigeria without seeing him.

Robertson revealed that King Charles has a deep affection for Harry, but the recent events have caused him significant pain. The loss of trust appears to be a key factor in the strained relationship. Robertson emphasized Queen Camilla's protective nature, stating that she is determined to shield King Charles from any further distress, as it has become overwhelming for him.

The expert also pointed out that Charles could have easily met with Harry if he had desired, as he had attended a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace on the same day as the Invictus Games' service. However, she explained that the emotional impact of seeing Harry during his previous visit, when Charles was diagnosed with cancer, was incredibly difficult for the King. Until Harry can demonstrate that he can be trusted and that confidential information will not be leaked, it seems that the King is hesitant to reunite with him.
