Prince William Protects Heartbroken Kate Middleton from Public Embarrassment

In 2013, Kate Middleton narrowly avoided an embarrassing moment during an event, thanks to the quick thinking of Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge, who is currently recovering from surgery, will not be present at the St. Patrick's Day Parade this year, an event that has been a regular part of her schedule. With her return to duties planned for Easter after her operation, it is clear that she will miss this year's parade. However, she has attended the event multiple times in the past and has often worn green, the national color of Ireland.

Back in 2013, during the parade, Kate had the task of distributing traditional shamrocks to the soldiers. However, being pregnant with Prince George at the time, she faced a moment of potential embarrassment when her shoe's heel got caught in a drain cover, almost causing her to stumble. She attempted to free her stuck heel, but without success, requiring assistance.

Luckily, Prince William was at her side and intervened fast to assist her balance herself without tripping over her shoe. Before carrying on with the ceremony, Kate managed to stoop down and remove her shoes with his assistance.

During last year's St. Patrick's Day event, Kate caught everyone's attention by wearing a vibrant teal coat dress, heels, and hat, standing out from the crowd.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate took to social media to extend greetings for St. Patrick's Day. On March 17, their official Instagram page shared glimpses of the Irish Guards rehearsing for the parade. The royal couple's statement read, "Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Here's a sneak peek of the @irishguards rehearsing for their annual parade. Sláinte to all those celebrating today!"
